Very talented Smooth Jazz artist Michael Lington has released his latest CD titled Stay With Me and Wow! It's really a good one.
I wish it weren't the case but, it's not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Stay With Me. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
Stay With Me has a pleasantly varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are jis own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They're all here.
Michael Lington possesses the characteristic of being able to bowl you over with his talent alone. The kind of artist I really enjoy listening to.
Listen to and I think you'll agree that the song choices are excellent, the production is outstanding and Mr. Lington is definetly in top form. Of particular note on this offering is his superb rendition of Two Of A Kind with Chuck Loeb.
While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3, A New Day, track 6, Two Of a Kind, and track 7, Call Me Late Tonight
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 5, Pacifica. This is a great track!
